Graham Sutliffe (2nd from the right) a Ledbury-based Petroleum Geologist currently working as a Wellsite Geologist in Oman, on the Mukhaizna Field, operated by Occidental Oil & Gas Oman. Standing by the Canadian rig Nabors 235 with his team of Drilling and Coring technicians upon the successful completion of an intensive three week coring programme, all of us being rewarded with Wallers’ bacon and sausage butties.
Said Graham in his email “I spend a 28-day hitch in the deserts of Oman, some 650km SW of Muscat and regularly take with me a specially-prepared selection of Wallers’ sausages and dry-cured smoked bacon. With temperatures during the day reaching 48oC in the summer, the tasty delights of Wallers’ sausages and bacon come as a well-earned reward to my international team of Indians, Americans, Canadians, Thai Australians plus Brits at the end of a very long hot, dusty days work”.
